Howdy everyone, and welcome to my first post. I figured this would be a good time for a brief intro to what you can expect from this blog over its lifetime.

Understanding the data analytics and business intelligence ecosystem can feel daunting. I’m here to help.
I’ll be writing about my experiences at large v. small companies, my perceptions of different analytics tools, and things that have helped me become better at my job over the past few years.

With proper engagement, I plan to continue learning about what others have experienced in their data-related roles. Which tools have you used? How have you provided value to your business stakeholders? Where do your experiences differ from mine?

Who am I?
I am currently a senior data engineer for a large e-commerce company specializing in furniture / home goods. Much of my career to this point has been in the business intelligence space, specifically within the healthcare industry.
I’ve primarily worked with Snowflake data warehouses and built business intelligence tools using Tableau, Power BI, and Looker. Currently, I’m trying to get up to speed with Google Cloud Platform!
